Curriculum

'Curriculum' is a Latin word that means 'race,' or 'course.'  At Candies Creek Academy it is our goal that, like Paul, our students learn to run their race faithfully and well.

Our curriculum follows the ancient pattern of the Trivium, another latin word meaning 'the meeting of three ways,' and as the name suggests, it is formed of three phases:

In the grammar phase, students receive a foundation of truth and knowledge through engaging activities, chants, and songs.

In the logic phase, students learn the tools of logic and reasoning.

Building on the grammar stage, and using the tools of the logic stage, rhetoric students develop their ability to reason independently and persuasively, examining and reckoning with the greatest thinkers of history.
