In chapter 10, Paul returns to defending his ministry against those “super-apostles” (11:5) and “false apostles” (11:13) who are attacking his legitimacy.

v1-12 – Paul addresses his critics in the Corinthian church and points out that his ministry is not a ministry of the flesh but rather spiritual in nature. Paul’s focus is not on comparing himself with others but on Christ’s authority for the purpose of building up the church.

v13-18 – Paul continues, desiring the gospel of Christ to be authentic and real in the life of the Corinthians and thus propelled and propagated among other cities and nations. This will cause him to boast in the Lord, for God is the one who does the work, and he is the source of approval.
